All music is provided in 4 versions (all mp3): hifi and lofi, both as a download or as streaming audio (for the impatient).

Lofi and lofi-streaming are mainly intended to give modem-users a quick preview of the music, but they sound really (and I mean REALLY) bad. If you think you might like a certain piece of music, you should really use either of the hifi-options.

Next Life (4'10) - March 2002

Kind: Pop-like ballad

Instrumentation: vocals, grand piano, electric guitar, synth-bass, (very) digital percussion

About: Sometimes things are not what you'd like them to be. You either get depressed or write some music. The choice is obvious. And for those objecting to the abrupt ending of the song: it is because it was.

For a wedding (5'27) - July 2003

Kind: Instrumental

Instrumentation: electric piano, electric guitar, string section, French horns

About: For my best friend and soul-mate Marco (pasta-eater by birth, musician extraordinaire by nature and sound engineer & studio owner by choice :) and his lovely wife Chiara, because I was (unfortunately) unable to attend their wedding. The rather silly piano-part has been lying around since '91 or so -- around the time Marco and I met for the first time -- so in a sense this song spans our entire friendship. The simple piano chords have been asking me to do something with them ever since they were first recorded as a midifile. After some 12 years of friendship: here's to the both of you, dr. Bob...
