
Score is an acronym for "Supporting the co-operative organisation of rational energy use".
A project initiated by Novem (the Netherlands Agency for Energy and the Environment),
the project promoted energy efficiency improvements in Eastern European countries.
They needed a logo, and they needed it now.
So, in one day I came up with this, thinking the project might never get really very serious.
However, by now I've seen it all over Eastern Europe (well, in offices at least),
on posters, T-shirts, mugs, candles, and other souvenir-like stuff. A miracle.
Oh, and black and white since back then many EE-offices just had an (old) photo-copier
or a B/W printer. So, with reproducability in mind, colour was out of the question.
Funny how things go ...
